Here at Preston City Mela one of our main purposes is to discover, enable & improve South Asian creative talents in the city. We have a long history in giving people their first opportunity on stage or at a stall.
This not only ensures that we continue to refresh talent we promote. It also makes economic sense to nurture this talent as they are right on our doorstep geographically and represent value for money (rather than buying in at a higher cost). Also they will be the people that in the future might well be running the festival – keeping it an energised and relevant event.
