“Preston City Mela CIC supports lifelong learning, enabling Board Members and Volunteers to enhance their skills for innovation, performance, and meeting our strategic goals.”
Vision & Purpose
Professional development is a way of valuing Board Members and Volunteers is vital for delivering efficient, high-quality service. Maintaining and growing individual roles supports effective service delivery.
Methods of Development:
The organisation’s training and professional development shall:
Align with the Mela function’s strategic direction.
Enhance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of Mela services.
Inform Board Members and Volunteers about available professional development funds and access.
Require Board Members and Volunteers to share knowledge gained from professional development activities with colleagues.
The policy lead will identify and communicate any training and development opportunities that arise, and will coordinate necessary support subject to the availability of funds and resources.
