Preston City Mela has a board of 5 directors (see below) and we are a Community Interest Company. The event is brilliantly supported by the festival coordinator Gulab Singh, administrator Jenny Paul and close partner Richard Baxter from Preston City Council. Together we oversee the running of the annual festival & the outreach programme through joint decision making done at regular board meetings. Amongst the group we have an array of skills & experiences including – event management, project development, media & social media, arts & crafts, administration, fundraising,  public health, photography & film.

In a bid to freshen up thinking we invited a number of new faces to a zoom conversation about the future of the event. This was really successful and gave us some great new insights & ideas – we will definitely be doing more of this in the future and thanks to everyone for their time on this.
